Will not be doing well in tomorrow's exams. At least there's the clinic to sort-of look forward too. Not even looking forward to the 9am-5.30pm schedule one bit.
I love procrastinating! ): Got some mid-semester resolutions to make after tomorrow...

7 Minutes
11:12pm and I don't feel like studying. Not that I've been studying the past few hours anyway.
11:12pm and I'd rather do many other things but study, though I know I have to.
11:13pm and thinking about tomorrow...another day at uni to tackle.
11:14pm and I still don't think I can sleep without at least studying a little now.
11:15pm and I'm thinking about how I scheduled every hour of this week.
11:16pm and I'm wondering if I should or will go to an 18th birthday next saturday.
11:17pm and I'm confused about my priorities.
11:18pm and I don't want to make the mistake, that same mistake I made for my piano AMUS. Not anymore, or I'll regret it so bad.
11:18pm and I don't know how to reassess my priorities...cello versus study. At least for this week it's difficult.
11:19pm and I've done 7minutes of revelling in my thoughts. Study now.

hurry up people!!
I'm getting really impatient for my credit application to be approved. because I COMPLETED ALL THE CONTENT AND YOU SHOULD JUST GIVE ME MY CREDIT SO I CAN DROP THE CHEMISTRY SUBJECT AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GOING FOR LABS AND DOING THE EXAM WHICH IS 2 WEEKS!!!!!
I've already missed the lab in week3. It's currently the end of week 4. There's another lab in week 5. WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO. GO TO THE LABS? JUST GIVE ME THE CREDIT! and guess what THE EXAM IS IN WEEK 6. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO STUDY FOR THE EXAM IF I'LL GET THE CREDIT ANYWAY.
I speak as though I'm 100% confident I'll get the credit. I've completed all the requirements - so why not? I submitted the syllabuses for reassesment at least 3 weeks ago. I don't see why they haven't gotten back to me yet. Don't tell me there are lots of people applying for credit now too. this should've been finallised a long time ago!
I've paid the semester fees, including the chemistry subject because the due date is this sunday.
Same thing happened last time. I had to pay and then they refund. Too bad this time it's assessed by someone I don't know. And the credit person has "not much control" over his progress. MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
dying of worry.

Hey! I was there!

Amanda's dad gave me a lift home today from qa. Passed by this bit at the bridge outside Indooroopilly train station...the traffic was slow because there were police cars, the fire brigade (lots of fire engines), crane, and ambulance all on stand at the narrow junction! Interesting to find out the story behind all that on Yahoo front-page news! Hope he's ok.
Crane used to lift man into ambulance

August 20, 2009, 6:52 pm
Emergency services used a crane to lift an obese man from his apartment on a Brisbane bridge.
The Walter Taylor Bridge, between Indooroopilly and Chelmer in Brisbane's west, has two towers that accommodate a number of residents.
One of the residents - a 57-year-old man reported to weigh around 300kg - called for an ambulance on Thursday afternoon.
He is believed to have suffered an asthma attack.
An emergency services spokeswoman said he was successfully lifted out of the apartment by crane at about 6pm (AEST) and taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
The crane was parked at the side of the road to enable traffic to cross the bridge.

Doubt
Loving Pascal's sketch.
Decided not to attend any lectures tomorrow. Primarily because the Dentistry lectures have not been very productive...and when I saw that the lecture notes for tomorrow were not new information, I decided to give it a miss. The morning anatomy lecture usually lasts 1.5hrs, so there's lots of time to be wasted if I travel to and fro just for that. So I'll just stay at home and revise for the mid-semester exams.
They're on next Saturday!
Have done the revision questions for Anatomy I but haven't revised properly.
Haven't done the revision questions nor revised for Anatomy II.
I better get started tomorrow. I will get started.
And I better keep up with the 1.5hrs of cello practice a day.
Tonight hasn't been very productive. For some reason I'm experiencing 0 motivation levels tonight. I'm feeling something's wrong with me as a person. I'm wondering who is really my friend at uni. I'm wondering if it's true that I'm not friendly but always think I am. I'm worried about how I will go in the mid-semester exams. I'm worried that I won't do well. I'm worried that I won't do as well as my competitive peers. I'm worried that I don't get a 6 or 7. I'm worried if I'll even get my credit application approved for chemistry. I hope I do. I'll have to study for the exam and go to labs at the very least if I don't, which isn't great at all. I'm wondering about a lot of self-centred things.
This is Mstislav Rostropovich's version of J.S. Bach's cello Suite 3: Prelude, which is one of my pieces. I like this version very much. I also like the way he plays, in general.

Newly discovered Mozart works played in Austria
Today, 12:50 pm

An Austrian pianist performed two newly discovered pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for the first time in public on Sunday in a house where the master composer once lived.

The concerto movement and a prelude were originally judged by their archivist, the International Mozarteum Foundation, to be anonymous works. Further analysis determined they had been composed by Mozart when he was 7- or 8-years-old.
Both pieces were transcribed in the writing of Mozart's father Leopold but the analysis showed he must have done so from what his prodigy child was playing on a piano, the foundation's Mozart researcher Ulrich Leisinger told a news conference.
He said the young Mozart almost certainly asked his father to put the pieces to paper because he could not yet do musical notation, and later made his own corrections.
"This was a young composer running riot to show what he was capable of. The piece does contain real technical mistakes and clumsy moments that an old hand like Leopold Mozart would never have made," Leisinger said.
"Neither the compositional style nor hasty correction-ridden hand-writing are consistent with Leopold's authorship."
Both pieces were played by pianist Florian Birsak on Mozart's own piano in the Salzburg house where he lived for several years as a young man, and that is now a museum.
The International Mozarteum Foundation was founded as a non-profit organisation in 1880 to focus on the life and work of Mozart by holding concerts, running museums and promoting research regarding the composer.
Mozart was born in Salzburg in 1756 and died in Vienna in 1791 at the age of 35.
He began playing piano at an early age and was composing from the age of five, going on to write more than 600 works and becoming one of the most prolific and beloved classical composers.
This is not the first time in recent years that works by Mozart have resurfaced posthumously. Last year a library in Nantes, France, reported finding that a musical score that had been donated by a private collector at the end of the 19th century was a Mozart original rather than a copy as earlier thought.
